Well,
the day I left the foundry I ws happy as could be
when I drew my final paycheck
they had a party just for me
I walked out that door forever with one thing on
my mind
just traveling in my camper and forgetting that old grind

well
we sold the house and furniture and auctiond off the rest
then we began to thinking
just how much we had been blessed
so we started praising Jesus and after just
a few
the Holy Spirit knocked and said ... "there's lots more work to do"

Well
mama's teaching Bible school and I'm the handyman
and through the week they call
on us and we help out where we can
sometimes we sit and wonder just how we lived

cause since we both gave up our jobs we find we're working more

we found down here at our church there's lots of work to do
sometimes the harvest
seems too much and the laborers seem few
but we've never been so happy since we
both got picked and hired
cause The Lord put us to work for Him on the day we
both retired
